The homeowner, a former teacher, is a sociable, sports loving man who wants to share his home with an educated, cheerful person. He is looking for someone able to cook well-balanced meals a few times a week, do some shopping and at times help to navigate technology because of his low vision.
Homesharing is a low cost accommodation arrangement. You give ten hours of your time each week carrying out practical tasks, providing some companionship and overnight security for the householder. In return you get a pleasant room in a safe environment with very low outgoings.
It’s a lifestyle choice, not for everyone, more suited to mature, reliable people. If you have the energy and commitment at the end of your normal day to spend some of your evenings and weekends engaging with the householder and helping out, we would like to hear from you.
Understandably, we have a thorough interview process and will need good references and a DBS check before we introduce you to the householder. If the idea of homesharing interests you please take a look at the Homeshare West website before responding.
