We are Tom and Anne-Fred, two single professionals looking for one other to share a 3-bedroom house in central Bath with us and Benji (Tom’s dog).

The house comes furnished - the available bedroom has a double bed, built-in wardrobe, bedside table, chest of drawers, as well as a personal wash basin. The shared living space includes a huge lounge/dining room, kitchen, utility area, downstairs WC, bathroom and WC upstairs, a nice secure garden and a welcoming entrance/hallway. There is also a small garage space around the back of the property which is available for storage. (It is possible, though incredibly awkward, to get a small car in-and-out, though residential permit parking is easily available and not expensive which previous tenants have preferred). The location is moments away from town centre, just off the Lower Bristol Road and is also very close to Moorland Road and Bear Flat.

The property is a shared tenancy with rent amounting to £560pcm each. Included in this amount is the water bill although this still means energy, internet and council tax are not included in the rent and are shared equally. (rough monthly total for rent + all bills is currently ~£700 each).

The deposit is equal to one month's rent of £560 each. Our current tenancy began as a 6-month fixed term followed by a rolling monthly contract, we would be looking for the same or similar this time.

The start date for this tenancy is 1st October 2022.

Unfortunately the room is not available to couples nor undergrad students but postgrad/mature students are considered. However, a student would still need to pay an equal share of all bills including council tax.


About us: Anne-Fred is from France, working as a researcher at the University and enjoys movies, reading and countryside walks, and Tom works as a barista and is active with gymnastics and climbing, as well as taking Benji out and about.
We’re hoping to find a friendly and sociable housemate who would treat the place as home and be responsible about cleaning etc. It’s also essential to be a dog lover! Benji loves new playmates and is well behaved in general, and definitely has his own unique character. Another canine housemate would be considered if the doggy dynamics work out.
