Hi! We have one room available in our lovely Ashley Down house share; available from 31st August.
**The house**
On foot it’s 10 mins from Gloucester Road in one direction and St Werburghs in the other, and 15-20 to Montpelier. There’s a bus stop 1 min from the front door which goes to Temple Meads (via town), or it’s 15 mins by bike/half an hour on foot. There are allotments at the bottom of the road and lots of green space around. The very handy Co-op is 2 mins away and the fabulous Lazy Dog is our local.
Communal areas include:
- Kitchen/diner with plenty of cupboard/cooking space, gas hob, washing machine & dishwasher
- Good-sized, super-suntrap back garden
- Big lounge for telly time, boardgames & bevvies
- Main bathroom with bath & shower
- Downstairs loo
- Shed with space for one more bike
**Room ** - available from 31st August
The ground floor room the larger of the two, furnished with a double bed, good sized wardrobe and a chest of drawers. There is plenty of space for more furniture or a desk if you want. Really light thanks to some large bay windows, and quiet as the lounge is situated on the 1st floor
**Your potential housemates**
The two housemates staying on are 27 and 28 and work full time - Katy at the Forestry Commission, Gemma at an engineering consultancy. Interests include cycling, cooking, cake (making + eating), pub-going, creative stuff, the outdoors, music etc...
The vibe in the house at the moment works really well - we hang out together when we’re in and generally have a good chat in the kitchen in the evening, as well as sharing the odd dinner/TV-watching session/drinks together. Equally though, everyone has plenty going on in their lives, so we’re looking for somebody similar, who's friendly and sociable but also busy with their own career/hobbies/projects. Basically, if you want some down time then everyone will respect your own space, but we’re looking for a housemate rather than just a lodger!
**Boring stuff**
- Bills (council tax, utilities, internet) are around £78/month
- It’s a private landlord who’s really nice and easy to get in contact with - for any issues we deal with him direct, but signing the initial contract is through an agency so they have their usual fees (£150 + VAT)
- No pets (sorry!) although the friendly neighbourhood cat often pops round...
If you're interested, please get in touch with a little bit about yourself (age, what you do for work and fun, etc) and we’ll get back to you!
