Double Room in New House Move - Bishopston

Hello SpareRoom searchers!

We're Lu, Olly & Maya - a musician/coach, independent coffee company account manager and lino print artist/charity in-house fundraiser respectively. We rent from our friend and trusted landlord in Southville & now the house has been sold & we're moving to the new one (same landlord) in Bishopston in March! The house is spacious, open and airy - downstairs, there is a living room & kitchen/breakfast area which leads onto a half-paved, half-green garden, with the shared bathroom on the first floor.

The photos are of the house before we've moved furnishings in, so it looks a little bare. The furniture from the Southville house is coming with us, so you'll just need to think about your room (there is a double bed frame available to you).

ABOUT US

It's Covid, so we're currently all working from home - Lu does so permanently, with a teaching room in the house, and Maya & Olly are likely to return to a half-WFH, half-workplace dynamic once things settle.

Ideally, we're looking for another professional in their 20s or 30s to live with us. There is enough space in the room for a WFH desk.

We're obviously still getting used to life after lockdown so our movements are slightly more limited than usual. The Bishopston move is new for all of us so we're looking forward to new walking routes! We're very Bristol with a shared love of yoga, hiking and going to gigs (ahhh, good times). All of us are pretty independent & mostly do our own thing, but we'll catch up daily in the kitchen over cooking/tea/G&Ts and we do Sunday night wine/dessert with a film on our comfy sofa.

We're not a loud house - we're all kind of over it! - so expect walks, dinners & perhaps even a trip to the pub (The Golden Lion is literally around the corner!) over big nights out & a busy home.

ABOUT THE ROOM

The double room is at the front on the first floor, next to the bathroom. The bed frame is being left so this is up for grabs - otherwise the room is unfurnished.

ABOUT BISHOPSTON

Again, we're complete newbies! But we do know that our road is the road directly behind the high street (we're on the side furthest away, less noise!) where there is a Sainsburys local, The Golden Lion, a bakery, a Pizzarova (!!) & a tonne of other amenities 2 mins away. Gloucester Road is 5-10 mins walk down the road where you'll find The Gallimaufry, Bristol Flyer & many charity/independent/coffee shops.

OTHER INFO

The official start date would be 1st April. There are no agency fees, just one month's deposit.
