Also, not forgetting, 2 mins. from Cargo, behind the museum on Wapping Road, a hub of delicious eateries and individual shops, and on the opposite side of the Bathurst Basin, the Michelin recommended Casa & Paco’s tapas. Torque’ personal training gym is there too, weights & triathlons they’re forte, also a hair dressers Price Driscoll, lovely Ben & Adrian offer great attentive service.
Bathurst Basin, was the first floating harbour in Bristol, Byzantine Court was a Robinson’s oil store.

No 1 has a spacious, well equipped kitchen with dinning table for 10, and the garden room looking over the communal garden at the back of Byzantine Court.

Large en suite with harbour views, comfortably furnished, is available. £325per week, can also be nightly, minimum of 3 nights £65 per night.


Communal areas are cleaned, room service with linen provided £30 by arrangement. Car parking by arrangement, £25 per week.

The house is big enough to share time with others or enjoy your own space.


The house is very homely and peaceful, it’s lovely to sit out on the quay, plenty of sunshine, enjoy the ducks, moorhens, cormorant, - and recent addition, a kingfisher, oh, and the boats! It’s a Community here first and foremost. We have the Cabot Cruising Club here too, club nights aboard the Olde Lightship, poetry, film, theatre and community events happening there.

10 minutes walk to Temple Meads train station, 20 mins to Bus station. 25 mins to Bristol airport.
