Double room in lovely two bed Cotham flat

Hi! I'm Hannah and I'm lucky enough to live in this fab flat in Cotham. Unfortunately my current housemate is moving out with her partner so I'm looking for someone else to move in.

The flat is a lovely two bed on the top floor in Cotham, just off Gloucester/Cheltenham Road (just up from the arches). The flat consists of the two bedrooms, bathroom, and an open plan kitchen/living room, separated by a breakfast bar/counter. The flat is perfectly sized for two but has a cosy, homely feel. Despite its great location, it's very quiet and peaceful thanks to being up the top of the building, and the back (where the bedrooms are) overlooks neighbouring gardens and trees. The room is £459/month and bills currently come to about £170/month, but I'm working on changing some of those to bring it down a bit if possible!

The location is ideal - it's a two minute walk to Cheltenham/Gloucester Road, 15 minutes into the city centre, and 20 minutes to Whiteladies Road. There are plenty of lovely shops, bars and restaurants nearby which make it great for weekend strolling. If you have a car there’s lots of on street parking around and permits are available.

The communal areas are fully furnished with white goods, sofas, dining table, etc., some of which came with the property and others are mine, but I'd be happy to look at moving things around if you have your own items you'd like to bring, and there's room in the kitchen cupboards for your own bits. The bedroom is unfurnished although does come with a large (3 door) wardrobe, so the only essential you'd need to get started is a bed. It's a generous size double and pretty much a perfect rectangle so plenty of wall and floor space for any extra furniture you'd like to bring.

As for me, I work full-time in the NHS in Gloucester. I've recently got into running and I'm working on trying to get a bit quicker and get back in the gym more for a post-work de-stress. I'm quite crafty and wanting to try out some new hobbies this year - pottery is high on the agenda, although I'm not sure how successful that will be! My work is quite demanding so things are usually pretty relaxed on weeknight evenings with chilling on the sofa, cooking, and catching up if my flatmate is about. On the weekends I enjoy socialising, getting out and about to explore Bristol, running, and occasionally having friends to come and stay from other cities - we have a single futon in the living room which helps with this, and we've learnt that the communal space can accommodate a fair few air beds if needed (although that's rare). I like new adventures and challenging myself (I recently ran the London marathon and shaved off my chest-length hair to raise money for charity) so can be pretty busy at times and I'm looking for an independent flatmate who also likes to do their own thing, That said, I like to think of myself as friendly and welcoming and would like to find a flatmate who could also become a friend - it's lovely to have someone to chat with at the end of the day and who's up for a drink every now and then.
