Double Room in Friendly, Spacious 3 Bed Houseshare

Contract: 6 months initially, starting 1st April

My two current housemates are sadly moving on at the end of March. One room is already taken but one is still available.

The room: Rent: £470/m + roughly £120 council tax and bills. Good sized double room with views down towards Stoke Park. Big enough to fit a double bed and a desk and still have some space, plus it also has some built-in storage. Comes unfurnished. Can repaint if you want or embrace the teal colour! It's suitable for people who need to work from home and has been used like that previously.

The rest of the house is great. There’s a good kitchen (dishwasher, gas hob) and the living area is big and open plan, opening onto a patio and down into a decent size garden. The bathroom has a shower and a jacuzzi bath. Location-wise, it's in Horfield, quite high up but still walking distance to nice things on the Gloucester Road.

A bit about me - My names Issy, I'm 29. I'm pretty active/outdoorsy, into rock climbing, ultimate frisbee etc. And y'know generally love hanging out with mates (once that's allowed again). Also, love the odd board game/game of cards.

The other housemate is Lydia. If you join the house, you'd be moving in at the same time as her. Lydia is also 29, and a native Greek. She's quite sociable and as a social scientist always enjoys a good conversation about culture and social issues. She cooks quite a lot and occasionally bakes. Her hobbies include: reading, going on walks, watching shows and films as well as both board games and video games (especially turn-based rpgs). She also enjoys trying to keep plants alive. She shares the sentiment of having a friendly, honest household while recognizing that everyone needs their own space as well.

We would like to live in a social house where housemates can become friends and we all get to know each other well enough to piss about and have a laugh. Wanting a house where everyone feels free to hangout together if they want but also respects when people need their space or are having a bad day. Self awareness and good open communication are really important to us in a house share, and even more so in these times of corona. Ultimately, wanting to end up with a chill, friendly house where everyone feels at home and free to do their thing.

Other info:

- Age range: ideally 24-35 ish
- Deposit is £500.
- The dog in the pictures sadly isn't staying. Dogs or other pets are allowed though and very welcome, apart from cats which we can't accept as Lydia is allergic to them.
- The house is a bit creaky and my schedule is variable so if you're a light sleeper then might not be the house for you.
- If you move in, you'll be added as an equal tenant to the contract after a tenants check.
- We haven't fully worked out yet which furniture might be staying or going, so if you have furniture you'd like to bring just say.
- The house doesn't have designated parking but most of the time there's lots of space to park.
