I am a writer and therapist living in a sunny, semi-detached and fully modernised three-storey cottage in Pipehouse. The top floor of the cottage comprises a large bed-sitting room with kitchenette and an adjoining smaller room, both furnished. The cottage is south-facing, with a private, well-stocked garden.

Pipehouse is a small, quiet hamlet on a no-through road, 6 miles south of Bath. Freshford village is half a mile away, with an excellent village shop and cafe and a popular inn. Freshford train station is a 15-minute walk (10-minute journey to Bath, 30 minutes to Bristol) and the 94 bus is a 5-minute walk away. However, please note that Pipehouse is in a semi-rural location so it is best to have your own car.

The bedsit has proved to be an ideal base for a single professional or for a post graduate who is studying and wants a peaceful environment. The advertised rent is for a single person staying for at least four weeks. Shorter stays are also possible at a rate of £200.00 per week (1 week minimum stay). There is plenty of parking on the lane.
