Double Room in Big, Friendly and Well Kept Home.

Ad ref# 6944377

(thanks to those who have messaged us so far, I'll be responding on Sunday or Monday)

Hey!

My name is Rubin and I am the live in landlord for a friendly, well kept and much loved house in Redland.

We are a bunch of twenty somethings (actually I have just turned 30... shit) who when we aren't working, enjoy hanging out together, cooking, going to the pub, pub quizzes watching films and very *cough* 'mindful' TV, casual bouts of fitness, having the odd glass of wine but most of all fawning over our two lovely cats.
Sadly from September our fab Aussie housemate Nas will be leaving us to continue on her epic travel mission and so we are looking for a new fantastic housemate!

The room is advertised being available from the 1st of September but there may be scope to be flexible a week or so either side for the right person.
We're hoping to find someone chilled, tidy, high spirited and up for hanging out and being part of our family. They must also like cats!

The room is a good sized double (around 12x12ft) on the second floor with an eastwards view to the rear of the house out on to the communal patio/garden, it's also very quiet and secluded from street noise.

The room comes fully furnished with a king sized wooden bed bed (not in photo) with a good very good mattress (bedding can also be provided if necessary). There is a solid wood chest of drawers/bureau (different from photo) and a large wardrobe.

As for the rest of the house, we have a large living room with a 50" tv, good sound system, PS4, sofa and comfortable armchairs. We also have a communal booze bar and we are planning on perhaps getting a piano for people to have a tinkle on should they wish!

Our kitchen is a highlight as it was built to a very high standard with a Juliet Balcony, granite work surfaces and all mod cons. We have two (soon to be three) fridges to share, oven (soon to be two!) plenty of food storage each and a comprehensive recycling system!
I try to provide everything in terms of appliances and crockery/cutlery to avoid clutter so please don't bring all your pots and pans but if theres something you cannot live without please let us know.

As we have 5 people in the house there does need to be some consideration for cooking space. Two people cooking at a time is perfectly achievable, at a push 3. We don't tend to have any issues with this as a house but its something to consider and does encourage communal cooking at least ;).

We have a brand new communal room on the bottom floor complete with big dining table and this room also goes out on to our communal patio(in the process of being reslabbed/landscaped)/garden complete with BBQ & fire pit!

We have a shared bathroom with shower on the top floor again in very well maintained condition and with your own cupboard space and an extra shared WC on the bottom floor.

If you are a cyclist we have a large secure bike store, which is free to use for your ride.
We also have a separate washing machine and dryer with communal detergents.

Last but by no means least is our futuristic 🤖 robot automatic vacuum cleaner 'Anthea' (honorary 6th housemate) who came all the way from china to help keep these areas a bit nicer. This may enthral or terrify you at first but 'Anthea' is as loving as she is efficient and helps to put at ease any concerns about our impending robot overlords...

This part of Bristol is an amazing green place to live and my favourite place to live so far in Bristol (I have lived in quite a few areas). Its got a very high quality of life with much greenery and friendly residents, a local cinema, endless restaurants and bars/pubs, very close to a nature reserve (the downs) and with easy links to the rest of the city. We also live 5 minutes away from an inner city rail link, which can then get you to Bristol Temple Meads in 10 mins, very convenient!

As for ourselves, I spend my time trying to compose electronic music, improving the house/general DIY, vegetarian, working for a small local removals firm and converting my van in the garage into a make shift mini camper.

Natalia is a psychology health worker for the NHS, so of course great to talk to about anything really, no matter how weird or disturbed! Natalia is also a vegetarian. She's been here almost 2 years now and regularly threatens that she is never going to leave so it is important to get on well with her.

Ellis has been here for a few months having moved from Barry in Wales! He is a cheeky chap full of endless cultural references and with an insane capacity for very general knowledge, which is invaluable when we go to the pub for a quiz night! Ellis works in town as a video editor for a media company and is a carnivore.

Ben is our latest addition who has been here for a couple of months and contributed massively to our house well being. He has what sounds to me like a stressful job in the marine safety industry but you wouldn't know it due to his cool calm demeanour. Ben is also a Carnivore.

Finally we have two cats called Softy and 'The Racoon' who are great characters and who we love. Don't be surprised to find either of them kipping on your bed if you leave your door open, this is their house really. Soft and 'The Racoon' are also Carnivores.

Overall an excellent bunch of people to live with and all looking forward to finding someone new to share our home with.

Absolutely everything is included in the monthly bill, we have a shared Netflix account, high speed broadband and the house is kept well heated and maintained by myself. Things like shared toiletries and dishwasher tablets are bought collectively to keep costs down (and reduce clutter).

I hope thats enough information to give a good idea of our place. If you're interested in our big friendly house please drop me a message including what your current situation is, any questions or queries and then hopefully we can arrange a viewing or at least a Skype etc. if you're not nearby.

We are looking for someone who is laid back, friendly and up for hanging out but importantly who is also respectful to other people and the property to help keep it a nice living space for everyone. We have had people from all over the world with all sorts of backgrounds so please do drop us a line with information about yourself.

Many thanks!

Rubin, Natalia, Ellis and Ben. + Softy and The Racoon

Ps due to our schedules and number of messages it might mean we take a couple of days to reply.
