I’m letting out a beautiful double bedroom in my Victorian terrace as my current housemate is moving out in March.

Your bedroom will be at the front of the house and is a well proportioned, yet cosy bedroom which has been painted in a calming greige. There is a cute bedside table, along with bedside light and a ladder desk with chair - perfect as a getting ready station or even for those couple of days where you might be working from home. There is also a built in cupboard with a large rail and shelf, which will accommodate a lot of clothes as well as a chest of drawers.

You will share the bathroom and other living spaces with me and I only ask that you generally tidy and clean as you go 🧹

The lounge has recently been renovated and has a large sofa and TV with Netflix and Prime. The lounge also has a cozy log burner 🔥 perfect for those chilly winter evenings.

I have also renovated the garden which has two patio areas where you can enjoy al fresco dining or some peaceful sunbathing ☀️ in summer months.

The area is very well linked, with the number 17 bus running from the end of the road (runs 24/7), Reading West station a 6 minute walk (there are several direct trains to Paddington per day or else you can change at Reading main) and Reading main station a 25 minute walk, which now has the Elizabeth line running through. There’s plenty of shops within walking distance including a Lidl and Tesco extra which are both just 5 mins walk. Reading town centre is also just a short 20 min walk away!

Hi I’m Abby,
I’ve lived in Reading on & off for the past 10 years and bought this house in 2021. I first went to university in Reading, moving back again more recently for work.

I like to spend my evenings socialising with friends, cooking and spend some weekends away visiting my family and friends who are in Essex.

I work 30 minutes away in Bracknell and commute into work around 2-3 days a week but this is very flexible depending on my schedule.

I’m looking for someone who is tidy, friendly and sociable but also has their own plans to occupy their evenings and weekends. Ideally looking for someone who mirrors me with working in an office for part or most of the week. The room is available until the end of August so I’m open to shorter term lets too.
