Hi there
I'm looking for someone to join me in moving into this lovely two-bedroom flat right in George’s Square, right in the city centre. The room is available from 6th July, although I'll be moving in slightly later on the 15th/16th as I'll be away on holiday. Open to people looking to move in in August also
About the flat
- the flat is a two-bed with a kitchen, two bathrooms, and a spacious lounge. I will be moving into an en-suite room, so you'll have the other bathroom to yourself
- the flat is furnished, including beds, wardrobes, sofas, kitchen table etc. The TV and stand in the pictures belong to the current tenants and they'll be taking them with them
- bills incl council tax come to around £200/pm
- the flat is owned by my uncle and we'd be going direct to him. He is a lovely guy who lives locally and is easy to deal with
- the room is probably better suited for someone without a car. The flat comes with one free parking space which i'd be using for my car. You can apply for a resident's parking permit but from what I understand in this part of town getting a space isn't guaranteed. If you did want to do apply for one I'd be happy to split the cost of the permit with you
About me
I work in the Civil Service, mostly working from home, but occasionally from the office in Bristol or in London. I tend to be out and about a fair bit at weekends, but also do try and get a decent amount of chill time in. I’m a very keen cook, and love experimenting with new cuisines. I eat meat but have lived with plenty of non-meat eaters in the past and always down for cooking some delicious veggie/vegan scran.
I’ve been getting into more outdoorsy activities lately and have been on a fair few climbing/surfing/camping excursions in the last year. Although I definitely don’t go clubbing as much as I used to, I still enjoy nights out here and there (mostly techno and house, but can be tempted for other genres) as well as hitting up a couple of festivals a year.
I also want to be upfront that later this year I may start looking to buy my own place, so I might not live here super long term, although I expect I'd be here 6-9 months as an absolute minimum. If I did this you would then able to choose who you lived with after me, or I could help you find someone if you wanted.
About you
I'm looking for a like-minded flatmate who is down for creating a relaxed, homely atmosphere here. I've made some great friends from previous houseshares and ideally you’d be up for hanging out, having shared meals here and there etc. Of course I respect that everyone needs their own time too. It’s important that you’re ok with friends coming round for dinner / drinks every now and again, and I’d love for you to do the same. If we share some interests then that’d be great, but its not totally essential. The main thing is that we get along and you know how to go about a respectful flatshare situation
If this all sounds good to you then please do drop me a line. I’d love to hear a bit about you in your message. We can then look at a date to show you round the gaff and perhaps grab a pint afterwards
Looking forward to hearing from you :)
