Homeshare in Cambridge

This room is being advertised on behalf of an easy going and friendly woman in her late 90s with early stage dementia. She is seeking someone to share her home at a a low cost, in exchange for some light help around the home.

In return for low cost accommodation of £170 pcm, she would like approximately 10 hours of support each week. This will be help with preparing a an evening meal, companionship ( a friendly chat after work), preparing and leaving a meal/ sandwich out for lunch.

The room is a double furnished with a wardrobe, desk and bed. You will also have a separate toilet for your own use though the bathroom is shared.

The ideal sharer would be female, 21+ friendly, kind, compassionate and caring. Someone who is patient and understands dementia and memory loss is ideal.

The Householder is still very active and mobile. She completes all her personal care uses the stairs, however she now requires help with meal prep. She has a very supportive family who are involved and are able to assist where needed.

As part of our Homesharing scheme, you will need to have/or apply for a recent DBS check and provide two references. You will also need to complete an application form which will be emailed to you. The only fees payable are our monthly fees of £170pcm (so you will only pay £170 per month for your room ). A DBS fee of £30 is required and will be requested once you have passed the initial interview stage
