Sunny single room in Newnham shared house

Our lovely home is looking for a new housemate! We are located in Newnham, 10 minutes walk from the Mill pub, 5 minutes from Grantchester meadows along the River Cam, and only a couple minutes from Lammas Land park. Additionally, the centre of town is only a 15 minute walk away and colleges such as Darwin, Wolfson and Selwyn are within 10 minutes. There is easy road access to exit Cambridge along Barton Road to the M11, and the central train station is a 25 minute walk or 10 minute cycle away.

A small Co-op, chemist, family-owned butcher, artisan French bakery, and greengrocer and post office with amazing homemade Indian curries are all within a few minutes walking distance. With many retired couples and young families, the surrounding streets in Newnham are quiet, but there are plenty of young people around visiting Grantchester or living in nearby college rooms. The Red Bull and the Granta (pubs) are nearby too and are reopen for business!

The current tenant is leaving at the end of June. Our contract requires an initial commitment of 6 months but becomes a monthly rolling contract after that period.

The room is fully equipped - with plenty of light and a 'West View' of the sunset. We share a large, light kitchen, a dining/living room, and a large bathroom. There is also a spare room for both storage and a bed for any visiting guests you may have. We also have a small West-facing front garden (but it's pretty private!) including herbs (mostly mint) and a bench for sitting in the sun.

You would be sharing with 3 PhD students (neuroscience, engineering). We're pretty social and enjoy a drink/joint dinner/Netflix/games night but respect each other's space around the house too!

We're happy to do Zoom viewings initially and then happy to have anyone living nearby already in to have a proper look around! We look forward to hearing from you!
