Double room on Mill Road in lovely houseshare!

The living room, through to the garden

I'm leaving my lovely houseshare on Mill Road at the beginning of August to move to London, and am looking for someone to take my place.

One of the existing housemates will be taking my room, leaving her room free. She may take some of the furniture in there currently with her, but you can discuss this with her and work it out. The room available is a small but cosy double at the back of the house (quiet!). Built-in wardrobes are just outside the room on the landing and are free for you to use, which is great as it frees up extra space within the room itself.

Next to the room is a bathroom with tub and shower (really good water pressure).

Downstairs, there is so much communal space - we have a huge hallway with original wooden flooring (we currently use it for storing bikes mainly, but maybe you can think of something more creative to do with it?). The kitchen is huge with loads of storage, and is semi-open plan into the living room. The living room opens out into the garden via full-width concertina doors. The garden is a mix of lawn and patio, and comes with a picnic bench and BBQ. The house is perfect for social gatherings (once that becomes a thing again...).

The room is a very cheap £400 a month! This doesn't include bills, which are typically £100ish a month on top of that.

Off-street parking can be found on the streets around the house generally without too much difficulty, if needed.

We are a 20 min walk/10 min cycle to Cambridge Station, and the same to central Cambridge. There is a massive Sainsbury's just around the corner, and an ASDA, Lidl and Aldi not too much further. Mill Road itself is great fun with loads of brilliant pubs, cafes, restaurants, independent shops etc.

I'm gutted to be leaving, and will be leaving behind 3 lovely girls, all aged 26-27. One is starting as a secondary-school teacher in September, another is a Civil Servant and the third works in international development. They're all very chilled and have a mix of hobbies - from catching up over a wine/dinner to trying every sport under the sun! They're keen to find someone who will be a good fit, so if this sounds like you then please get in touch.
