Lovely sunny double room in a cosy and quiet two bedroom apartment situated in a lovely and calm area, but only minutes away from the bustle of the city. Rarely there is an opportunity in Cambridge to live with just one extra person.
The room is very bright and warm, facing a beautiful green garden, away from the street noise. The room comes unfurnished so the new tenant will have to bring their own furniture. There is half height storage in a built-in cupboard. The room can easily hold a double bed, desk, chest of drawer and double wardrobe. Extra furniture, like chest of drawers, bookshelf or wardrobe can be accommodated in the living room.
The kitchen, living room and bathroom are shared areas of the flat, shared with one other person. The generous sized kitchen has plenty of storage space, full fridge, washing machine, dishwasher. There is also a spacious living room with a large couch and a TV. Outside there is a locked shed where a bike can be stored and a large garden where you can relax in the sun. If you have a car, there is plenty of parking on the street, but you will be required to purchase a parking permit (around £70 per year).
The room is available for long term occupancy, single tenant only, no couples. The monthly fee includes rent and bills (gas, electricity, water, Wi-Fi and council tax Band B). Professionals preferred, no students please. The new tenant will sign a contract with the letting agency.
The property is minutes away from the main train station with plenty of trains that get to London in less than an hours and other great train connections and bus stops. Very near, there is a gym, leisure centre with restaurants and cinema, small supermarkets. It is within walking distance or 10 minutes of cycling away from Addenbrookes hospital and Cambridge Biomedical Campus and it is within walking distance from University Press and Cambridge Assessment (The Triangle). In the opposite direction there is the town centre, 10 minutes away by bike or 20 minutes walk, with its beautiful historical centre, colleges, University departments, pubs, restaurants, museums, shopping centre, parks and all the amenities the city has to offer. Also the flat is close to the bustling Mill Road with its international shops and restaurants, second hands shops, book shops and cafes.
I am a professional in my thirties that lived in this area of Cambridge for years. I love the peaceful atmosphere of this neighbourhood, but I also like that is minutes away from all of Cambridge’s attractions. I am a friendly and sociable person, I like sharing a meal and a good chat, but also I am aware of personal space and appreciate a bit of me time. I am looking for a mature person that understands the responsibilities that come with sharing a flat.
If you are interested in this room, please write a bit about yourselves (what brigs you to Cambridge, job, age etc) and we can arrange a viewing in person. Apologies if I don’t respond to all messages.
