About the room:
We have 1 clean, airy, fully furnished double room to rent: £700 for a single person or £750 for a couple, including all bills, with a deposit of one month. The room has a double bed, chest of drawers, desk, bedside cabinet (these can be removed if an unfurnished room is preferred) and a spacious walk in wardrobe.

A bit about the house/area:

The house has a lovely roomy kitchen diner with a washing machine, dishwasher, big oven and plenty of storage. The sitting room next door, which has the usual TV and sofas, overlooks the garden. There is a communal bathroom upstairs, with separate bath and shower, and second toilet downstairs. There is a bike storage garage attached to the house. The house is also smoke free.

Foxton is a lovely, quiet village with its own village shop and pub. There is a football club and cricket club based in the village as well. It is 7 miles from Cambridge, with a cycle path pretty much from the edge of the village to the city centre. There are also good links to both Cambridge and London with a direct train from the village that runs late into the evening. It's 10 mins to Royston too. There is plenty of street parking and one private parking place to share directly outside the house.

A little bit about us & what we're hoping for:

We are 2 young professionals - 30s. We are looking for a friendly, like-minded person/couple to share our house. Alex is a teacher in Cambridge, and Emma is a resident teacher in Letchworth. Emma's job means she stays over at school during term time, popping back to the house for the odd evening or a day at the weekend. Since lockdown we have continued to stay elsewhere, and will most likely continue to do so for the immediate future.

Alex enjoys the outdoors - walking, cycling etc. - and is partial to the odd game of rugby, while Emma is creative, enjoys yoga in the local lavender fields and baking. We both love dogs (though don't have our own!), travelling and are sociable people, but more tea/dinner party than wild party.

There is also another housemate renting a room in the house. He is a similar age, friendly, clean and tidy. He is a teacher so often not around in school holidays.

We would love for the house to feel sociable, and for you to feel that it is your house as well as ours, but we're aware everyone needs down time.
