Lovely downstairs room in private part of my lovely old house in Soham, with adjacent bathroom. It's a ground floor room, and is a quiet space suitable for a hardworking person. The room is accessed via a short passageway which makes it nice and private from the rest of the house. This letting includes use of kitchen, and access to broadband.

Please note that this is Monday to Friday let only, ideal for contractors and professionals who are travelling away from home to work in the week. It is not suitable for someone who needs somewhere to live all the time because it's not available at weekends.

My previous lodgers have told me that my house has a friendly atmosphere. My most recent lodger stayed 10 months. I've not had any lodgers since covid so will be doing LFT tests and will ask a lodger to do those also. Ideally you'll be double vaccinated (as I am) which protects us both and I hope you won't mind this approach.

As a landlord I try to be flexible on dates as I know that things change when working away from home. I ask for 2 weeks notice, and I'll ask you to pay 2 weeks rent in advance when you start staying here so that I am not out of pocket on the rent if you had to leave suddenly. It gives me time to advertise again. I started doing this after unfortunately being let down by someone, and it has worked well since.

This is a detached house in a convenient position in Soham - good for transport and getting to the main routes - so easy access to A142 (few mins) A14 (25 mins) A10 (15 mins). Bus stop for route to Ely/Cambridge just around the corner. Ely is 10 mins drive away in car. .

Unfortunately there isn't a parking place available but I find it easy to park on the nearby small streets, or small carpark almost opposite. Shopping is very convenient, with the house being located so close to our small Asda store. In spite of this, the house and the room are very quiet.

There are plenty of footpaths and places to go walking, running or exercise at Ross Peers sports centre with gym is very nearby. Andy plenty of eating places in Soham if you want take aways.
