Chill out at my country cottage.......

Hello, I'm looking for a mature, responsible, lodger who can look after themselves and will respect and look after my property.

My home is a 17th-century stone cottage full of character with beams, wonky walls and plaster and a huge inglenook fireplace in the lounge.
My cottage is rustic, comfy, and welcoming, a place where you can feel relaxed and "at home" and be close to nature............sometimes a bit too close.........because in winter I can get squirrels and mice wanting to nest in the eaves!
Such is life in the countryside.

The location is remote, rural and quiet but only 10 minutes walk from the village centre of Glyn Ceiriog where there is a Spar shop, Post Office, Medical Centre, pharmacy an hotel and a pub.
The bus service is infrequent, there is a train station in Chirk but in my opinion you will need to have a car or motorbike.

* All bills are included but a fair usage policy will be agreed on the heating oil if I am away for an extended period of months over winter.
My cottage has a large double bedroom and a larger king size double for rent, two shared bathrooms, (one upstairs and a shower wet room downstairs), and a shared kitchen/diner and lounge.
There is oil central heating plus a Rayburn in the kitchen/diner and a log burner in the lounge.
There is good internet but it is not Superfast Fibre.

The large king size double bedroom has a double settee, a coffee table, tv, and space for a desk/table if required.

Outside there is a very large semi-wild garden with mature trees which is visited by birds, rabbits, and squirrels.
I'm surrounded by woodland, farmland, and livestock including cattle, sheep, and rare-breed pigs..

* I have a dog (so when I’m home) you need to like dogs.
* Smoking is only allowed outside the house.
* Please Note: My home is not modernised, the kitchen and bathrooms are not "state of the art" but they are clean.
* Also to note is the fact that I have the original timber single-glazed cottage windows which you may find draughty if you're used to modern double-glazing.
* I prefer to save the Planet and wear thermals and a wooly jumper rather than turn up the thermostat in winter. 😜
