East Cornwall

In May or even April, I will have the lovely chalet and garden with patio, above my house near Looe, Cornwall, and up the cliff so some steps, VACANT! There is a side entrance so private once past my house, and in 2015 it was rebuilt so insulated and all electrics checked. The views are stunning. All will be refreshed and newly painted.

It is a bedsitting room of a good size, a roomy kitchen with mock wood burner and stone chimney breast, with small shower room and loo, plus a garden shed for storage. There is a garage you could use that I rent at the head of the village about a 10 min walk. Single person only.

The gentleman, a friend and helper, has been there for nearly ten years but now has health problems that make it hard for him to be up such steps. He has found a more convenient place for he and his cat, yours would be welcome too but not a dog.

I would like to continue as before so rent will be £650 a month with all utility bills paid. I do ask for the paths and steps to be brushed and kept in good order, a little help if I need something carrying up to my house and, if I go away for no longer than three/four days at a time, daily care of my inside rescue cat. On a Saturday and Sunday to please collect the papers, a 5 min walk to the village shop. The recycling needs to be put out and the usual rubbish each week.

Most important I do need contactable references and a CV with a photo. You must be fit with no disabilities as the house is a bit of a climb but not too bad, I used to do this with a load of breakfast goodies when I used it myself. I want a good, kind person who likes privacy as I do. I think this would suit a mature person with some love of light gardening (for your garden) and a few DIY skills. It really is lovely!
