A wonderful room for a longer stay

About the property
A family-style, terraced, 4-bedroom house, furnished and very comfortable for students. Three of us (2 PhD students and a postdoctoral candidate) are tenants on a long-term contract. One of us is leaving by October 2019. Therefore, we are looking for a long-term tenant (PhD student is ideal). The room is available now. There is a separate sitting (and dining) room. Both kitchen and bathroom are shared. Parking space is available. As we keep one of the bedrooms always vacant, you can use it to dry clothes etc. There is also additional space for the store.

The house is 10-minutes away (by bus) from Durham University and 15-minutes away from Durham city centre. The bus stand is just opposite the house. As a university student, you will have a student discount for bus travel. It will not cost you more than £1 a day. You can board Arriva X12 (bus) for Newcastle for a pound! A supermarket (Coop), salon shops, a Chinese take-away, a community centre, medical stores and a dental hospital, GP (clinic), library and the church are within 2-minutes walking distance. Bowburn is a quiet area with nice surroundings. You will have easy access to public parks, schools and a local football ground. Compared to the town centre, Bowburn is considerably less costly to live.

Terms you need to know

You’re required to pay one month rent as a deposit (£180). And, as we pay the rent at the start of the month, you need to pay the rent in the first week itself. The rent dose not include, electricity, water and broadband bills.

Should you wish to leave? Two-months advance notice is necessary.

A PhD student looking for a long-term contract will be preferred.
