Hi,

I have 2 fantastic rooms to rent, for working professionals or PhD students. The rooms are furnished to a high standard in a very spacious, clean and tidy, non-smoking house. The rooms both have a double bed and situated on the 1st floor and share a bathroom.

The house is on an estate 10 years old and situated in Sacriston Village (2.5 miles from University Hospital of North Durham). It is 3 storey and has 4 bedrooms; the decor is neutral throughout. The living room is shared and leads into the garden; kitchen has dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, fridge/freezer and dining table.

The rent includes Council tax, TV, Wifi, Water. There is a smart meter and so Gas and Electricity bills are separate. Telephone is not included.

The house would suit working professionals or PhD students who are clean, tidy, respectful and quiet. This is NOT a party house. The street is quiet and we have very nice neighbours too.

By bus and car Sacriston village is convenient for :
- New College Durham (5 mins)
- University Hospital of North Durham (6 mins)
- Police HQ (7 mins)
- Durham County Council (7 mins)
- Durham train station (10 mins)

There's a very good bus service and buses run every 15 mins on Mon-Sat.

I am a very easy going and relaxed individual, I like to go for walks, having friends round for dinner, movie nights in, going out for drinks, skiing holidays, photography and art. I spend time away for my work and return each weekend; I work in project management. My current lodger is leaving after 3.5 years (he works in IT).

History of Sacriston Village : it dates back to the 13th Century when it was called "Sacristan's Heugh". It was linked to the monastery at Durham Cathedral as the monk who lived here was called the "Sacristan" and he was charged with providing everything necessary for the services of the Cathedral - bread, wine, vestments and he organised repairs.
