Calling all dog lovers 🐾 Spacious double room

Hi!

We have a light and airy double aspect room on the ground floor with views looking out onto the garden and countryside.

Longdown is 10 minutes from central Exeter in a stunning semi-rural location. The buses are scarce and unreliable, so you need to be a car owner.

The shared bathroom has a double walk in shower with drench head and large seperate bath. The 3 bedrooms are all on seperate floors. There is a desk in the bedroom for those who want to hybrid work, but we would prefer it not to be working from home full time.

We have a large garden which is beautiful in the summer and the house is very cosy in the winter.

We are all professionals, two of us work in the Health Service and are also both studying MSc's, so a mixture of being at work and home. We have been renting rooms for years and have lots of experience with lodgers, some of whom end up staying for years and end up becoming good friends!

We are light hearted people who love to laugh and enjoy good company and a natter with some food/a bevvy around our table. However, if you like your privacy we are happy to respect your space and quiet time.

The house on the whole is fairly quiet one - often week nights are just eat, sleep, work repeat! We are up at 6am most work days so there will be some noise from around this time, although we do try to be quiet. We like to mostly relax at the weekends (when we aren't working extra shifts!). We go to bed early in the week. Someone with a similar schedule would probably fit in well! I'm afraid we can't accept anyone who works nights, sorry.

We have a rescue dog that is quite shy but super friendly once she gets to know you. It's really important to us that the person who moves in is a dog lover and has some experience of being around dogs. Sadly we can't accept anyone with pets, our dog isn't great with other dogs or small furries!

We like to bbq in the summer/do outdoor stuff. We are passionate about the environment and would like a tenant who is environmentally conscious/recycles etc. We are big foodies and spent a fair bit of time in the kitchen.

We would like a non-smoking house mate between the ages of 28 and 40 with a sense of humour (we like to laugh and muck around sometimes!) who respects our home and keeps it clean and tidy.

Please note, we have a weekly cleaner which will be an additional £42 a month per person on top of the rent amount stated.
