Charming cottage near Exeter (west, nr cowley)
I have two rooms available; one very large (5m x 5m) double room in a large cottage in a village on the edge of Exeter - Newton St Cyres (10 mins drive to Cowley side). The other room about two thirds the size. House is owned by my former employer and effectively provided by virtue of my employment so I act as landlord/agent with them. In all other respects (upkeep, chores & cleaning etc) we operate as a house share; requiring responsible, tidy person.
Furnished or unfurnished room. Available to view by appointment.
Parking available, plus a good and regular 10-15 minute bus and train service. It’s a 10 minute drive to Cowley/University so would suit PhDs or Uni staff equally.
Large wood burner as well as central gas heating. Bills of £135 PCM plus logs in winter if it’s long/cold!
Walking distance to great local pub - The Beer Engine 10mins and Italian restaurant "Belluno," 2 mins. Beautiful local area with walks, trails etc.
Sharing with one other professional who's active and very considerate/conscientious (and three chickens in the large rear garden, which catches sun all day long). I also have a (outdoor) cat, Pascual, who’s extremely well natured.
I'm a tidy person, outgoing and have a fun and engaging career. I'm very much a food lover, by profession as well (I sell cheese around the world). I surf and practice yoga. I enjoy spearfishing and foraging when the season is right! I travel quite a bit (when permitted) and have an active social life.
Available from April. Short term lets considered at a higher weekly rate which is negotiable relative to term of let.
