COVID Contentious Rolling Let’s!

Main House: We have a revolving combination of 5 guest rooms (1 x single, 3 x doubles and 1 x twin) fully furnished en-suite bedrooms, which are available when not being seasonally let for part of the Inn's B&B business (Inn currently closed but usually opened one or two nights a week when not in covid times!). There is a very large garden and plenty of outdoor space and after the recent lockdown, we are continuing to offer weekly rolling licences (or negotiated periods) with bill-inclusive lets (including wifi, parking, gas, electricty etc). One double room also has its own 20. X 25 Foot private terrace and the other rooms have shared use of an 80 foot south facing terrace, hot tub (in season) and barbecue area. There are also reasonably priced breakfast options and evening meal options as add-ons for those who prefer no hassle living. Cooking is by shared use of farmhouse fully equipped kitchen although with a shielding flat mate, we are asking that common areas are wiped down after use etc to respect everyone’s health and well-being and that flatmates make use of the large dining room as a shared internal space in preference to hanging around kitchen. Add on Laundry facilities also available at set rate.

We have 2 further separate annexes one of which is fully occupied and self-contained. The other static annexe is currently occupied with two lads (both working) and the double room there is now also available - room 7 on the list, where lounge, bathroom and kitchen are shared with other two and small private yard and off street parking. In the static annexe, electricty is metered and billed equally between occupants, as is the LPG gas for heating/hot water.

In the main 13 bed house, there is my husband and I and the house is divided into our private family living and bedrooms, and in the other half, the guest rooms, all en-suite plus a very large communal dining/games room. We also have a pool table. The kitchen is shared although as I am shielding, we do ask that covid house rules are respected and kitchen used only for food preparation. .We have well behaved working dogs in our side of the house but not the guest side. We have a large dining room for shared use and a large farmhouse kitchen. Plus indoor bar which opens to public from time to time. We generally open bar for special events and not more than two evenings a week. No opening until after Easter now due to covid.

We a fun-loving couple, gamekeeper and lawyer, and we also have racehorses but not at home! We have some pet hens and ducks in garden and are looking for some happy, respectful and easy going housemates to share with for a few weeks to months, possibly longer depending on how things go in this crazy world.

We also are pretty covid conscious so whoever shares needs to accept we are basically forming a bubble and need to keep each other safe which we’re sure is in everyone’s interests!

Wi-Fi included along with electricity, heating and hot water in the main house. Annexe double has separate electric feed and gas for hot water and heating which is split with other two house mates, hence lower room rate. All rooms bar one in main house have TV. No weirdos please! We both had enough of those to last a lifetime!

Very large private drive and parking for about 40 cars so you won’t have a problem parking! Also, no smoking in the house or annexe but garden ok, so long as you keep it tidy for others please!

Hot tub available to use in season although a small fee will be charged on this re electric. I’m afraid I let the let ducks have take over the swimming pool for winter but we can see about moving them out next year!

There is a poly tunnel for gardeners and a lot of on site facilities/benefits. If we continue to long let through the summer, the weekly prices will go up to reflect the season but who knows where we are with covid atm?🤷‍♀️
Feel free to ask any questions and please understand that we will do a trial couple of weeks first as it’s important anyone in the house does get on with each other, and especially now, respects the covid laws and risks to protect others housemates.
Clear covid test result to be provided prior to moving in day effective from previous 72 hours. This way we hope everyone can feel confident and assured as we all start to adjust to this new life!
