Hi there,
We're offering a room in this warm, relaxed home to a tidy, pleasant professional (or responsible/mature student).
Thank you for reading.
(Update: Two of the rooms have been taken. One by a female professional, 23, & the other by a school teacher. 23, both quiet, tidy & responsible.)
As stated, I have this large, sunny, double room to let out - available from early September .
Preferably, looking for longer term let, i. e. 6 to 12 months at a time...
The whole house has just been completely refurbished. New bathrooms, new kitchen(s), new carpets, beds, furniture & desks etc.
The room is bright and spacious (warm in the winter) with lots of natural light from large windows. Each room has a double bed (fresh duvet and linen supplied), large wardrobes with drawers.
A brand new WC/bath/shower is shared between two rooms (the third room has its own full ensuite bath/shower/wc room), along with a nice, clean, bright kitchen/breakfast room.
It's actually a large(ish) 4/5 bed detached house with a south-facing front, & a large back yard.
But the house is more or less divided between upstairs & downstairs, with the downstairs used by my elderly, disabled father.
Upstairs is the second, separate kitchenette & shared family bathroom suite (with of course, the additional ensuite bathroom).
There's a guest toilet downstairs, available with shared access.
Normally, I'm a professional musician (46), mostly out of town or abroad on contract. But right now I am staying here as carer for my disabled father.
The entrance for the house is shared, but the rooms & facilities upstairs vs downstairs are self contained & private.
We're located on the outskirts of Southbourne, just off Christchurch Road & almost right next to Kings Park - Mere minutes walk away from most shops & conveniences, including a late-closing Tesco Express around the corner, as well as Southbourne Highstreet in one direction & Boscombe promenade in the other, with their fair selection of restaurants cafes, bars & many varried shops on both.
Public transport is great from here. We're literally one minute walk away from a bus stop & 6 minutes from Pokesdown railway station, with regular trains West to Bournemouth & Poole - Or East to Ringwood, Salisbury, Southampton & London.
These vacancies are offered to single, non-smoking professionals. Ideally, relaxed and considerate, with a proverbial day job.
Working from home is quite the thing these days. So I've fitted two of the rooms with a decent sized desk. Making a nice, homey, spacious environment for both work and relaxation. The ensuite has a lovely dressing table, which can be replaced with a desk.
I accept a month's rent and the last month's rent in advance (instead of deposit). All bills and c. tax are covered, including 24hr, unlimited, 100mbps, fibre, wireless broadband and a bi-weekly cleaner.
You may appreciate that this is not a wild party house but rather a home... Very friendly and casual but where tranquility is a good thing.
If you've read this and think it works well for you please message me... Maybe write a little about yourself. Thank you.
David
