Beautiful Countryside Room Near Edinburgh And Sea

A stylish double room in newly refurbished period house, commutable distance to Edinburgh, and situated in the heart of the highly desireable village of Tyninghame. Looks like something straight out of Jane Austen. Surrounded by beautiful country and seaside walks and the paths of the John Muir Way, but has the city comfort of a fantastic cafe right next door. The house is very quiet and comfortable. I have just completed a total refurb to a very high and tasteful standard. The room is very bright and airy, great triple wardrobe storage and space for a small desk. Oak flooring throughout the house. You almost have your own private bathroom as I have my own en-suite so I rarely use the main bathroom which is next to your room. You have full use of the kitchen and sitting room - which you'd share with me.

Tyninghame is situated directly between North Berwick and Dunbar, so it's great for beaches and town amenities and also good for trains. There is also a good bus service into Edinburgh from the next village - East Linton (20 min walk or easy bike ride, or even a bus). Tyninghame is a friendly village with a real sense of community. In East Linton, you also have a good local pub, award winning butcher and Bostock bakery, newsagent, COOP and more, and every Saturday the best organic vegetable stall from Phantassie farm.

All bills are included - council tax, broadband, gas and electric. I sometimes have Netflix and connect to TV from my laptop with cable. You'd be free to do the same with your devices.

You'd be sharing with me. I'm a film director and also direct commercials, so I work at home mainly - in my study. I'm creative, love the arts, love nature. I'm a sociable, friendly person, but equally enjoy time by myself and respect people's space. I would say I'm easy going and fun, and at the same time I like a reasably tidy well kept home. I see home as a lovely place to retreat to and relax, with the ocasional dinner party. I'm seeking a person who is similar in values and interests.

It’d be great to have a housemate that I could have the odd bit of food and a good chat with and who also wouldn’t mind that I really like a bit of time to myself too. I'm in my late 40s but consider myself a very youthful one. So, I don't mind what age the housemate is - anything from early 20s to late 50s would work. I have always had a broad age range of friends.
