Bright double room on the doorstep of Queen's Park

I’m James and I’m a live-in landlord of my 2 bedroom flat which is literally on the doorstep of beautiful Queen’s Park.  I’m 38, and a partnered gay guy working in higher education. I’m looking to find a flatmate for my second bedroom (gay or gay friendly). I spend a bit of time at my partner’s flat, so would be looking for someone who is trustworthy, respectful and tidy.  I’m sociable and of course I would always happy to spend time in the living spaces with you watching some TV, but also completely respect your privacy should you prefer.

My partying days are now behind me, so would be looking for someone similar as it is not really a party flat.  My weekends now usually consist of spending time with friends, theatre, cinema, eating out, cooking for friends and the occasional trip to the pubs in Kemp Town.  I’m really into running, health and fitness and I am a member of an LGBT running club. I also love politics, current affairs, documentaries, British tv and film and travelling as much as I can with my partner.

THE ROOM: The bedroom is a good size double, with a brand-new memory foam mattress.  It has been recently repainted and has a very large built in wardrobe and top cupboard.  It is part-furnished with a double bed and IKEA chest of drawers. Sea views in the distance

THE FLAT: There is a double aspect lounge (all rooms are south facing so it’s very bright) with smart TV and WiFi.  Kitchen with washing machine and large fridge. Bathroom with electric shower and bath.

THE AREA: The flats are on the doorstep of Queen’s Park which is lovely in the summer for BBQs and sunbathing with a café and beautiful pond.  It is a quiet and peaceful area, whilst at the same time is only a 10-15-minute walk to Kemp Town, the beach and the shops and attractions of the city centre.  The hospital is about 10 mins, Brighton station around 20.
