The house: Gorgeous cottage feel, pretty garden, very functional kitchen (see pic) and a gigantic living room/dining area that goes straight into garden.

Huge bathroom, with a good-sized bath and honestly the best shower of any house I have ever lived in.

You get all the good stuff: washing machine, dishwasher (no washing up for you anymore!), gas cooker (easy to reduce heat) and central heating (no more dodgy electric heaters - hurray!).

Location is amazing - right next to The Level, with the Open Market barely a minute's walk away and shops and bars on London Road too. Brighton train station is a 10 minute walk.

The room: An unfurnished double - so you can being/get a bed that suits you. It comes with built-in shelving for storage, plus enough space for a clothes rack and/or drawers.

Want more storage space? You also have a partially converted loft at your disposal, accessed up cool stairs and hatch (they’re in the pics to help you see). Good for suitcases etc too.

You would be living with me - a 36-year-old transgender woman who also works as a freelance writer which means I sometimes work from home but sometimes am away for a period of time reporting from elsewhere. This means I can vouch for the internet working well, because I need it to!

The dog: the house comes with a small and awesome dog - a dachshund - named Ross. He's fully housetrained and extremely affectionate so he'll be your best pal if you want him to be! He does bark when people come to the door but otherwise he’s quiet and small and it’s hard not to like him.

Me! I'm an easy-going person to live with in general. I can be quite sociable and enjoy cooking together/watching TV/having a natter and a cuppa (or something stronger!) with housemates sometimes but also value my own space and am always respectful of boundaries. I sing in a choir on Saturdays and do an improv course on Monday nights. I enjoy baking and geeky board games and binging the odd Netflix series like anyone else.
