Room available in bright, spacious, 2 bed flat.

Ad ref# 15265802

Hello,

I am looking for a new flatmate - preferably of the human species - as my current flatmate is moving out at the end of August.

The flat:

It's a 2 bed flat on Brunswick Road in Hove, just off Western Road - very central and a few minutes walk down to the seafront. It's very close to loads of bus stops and about a 10 minute walk to the centre of town.

I've lived here for two years already and it's the nicest flat. The street itself is really pretty and generally very quiet, as well as the neighbours.

The flat itself is really spacious with high ceilings and huge windows. It is on the first floor with a balcony out the front. There is a shared cosy living room and modern bathroom, as well as a good sized kitchen. Both of the bedrooms are at the front of the flat with a big floor to ceiling window leading out onto the balcony.

The bedroom for rent is the slightly "smaller" one - I had this room my first year here and there is plenty of space for a double bed, desk, shelves, drawers etc, or plenty of height for triple bunkbeds.

The bedroom is unfurnished, but I have most furniture for the rest of the flat already - sofa, chairs, table etc. as well as a fridge/freezer and washing machine.

I am pretty flexible on keeping/getting rid of furniture so if you had stuff to move into the communal area too I always fancy a bit of a move around.

The rent is £640 pcm paid at the end of each month. Bills aren't included in this: the water bill is taken every 6 months and is £90 each, then electricity and gas works out at around £20-25 each per month, internet £13.50 and council tax £65.

I am looking for a working professional to move in, don't mind someone working from home but preferably no students (although I wouldn't mind a mature or masters student). Someone who is calm, good at chipping in with the housework, easy to get on with and wants to spend a bit of time together cooking/watching stuff rather than simply sharing a flat.

The flatmate:

I'm Zoe and 23 years old - I currently work full time at the hospital in the Microbiology department, and graduated from university last year with an illustration degree.

I love my job but I have long hours which can be draining so appreciate having somewhere generally calm and quiet to come back to during the week. It's not a party flat but I don't mind the occasional get together or séance, whatever your thing is.

I'm an all round very creative person, I love to draw and play a few musical instruments (they live in the living room but I'm not noisy). I also run and walk a lot.

I'm generally very laid back and pretty quiet, I like to keep things mostly clean and tidy but am not upright about a general bit of mess etc. I really appreciate down time on my own but I love living with someone I am also good friends with. I'm vegan myself so having someone who is vegan/vegetarian would be great but as long as we get on I don't mind too much.

I think i've included everything but if you have any questions please message me.

I'm not sure what I'm doing about viewings at the moment, but if you're interested we can figure something out,

Look forward to hearing from you :)
