We're an older married, friendly, easy-going couple and have varied interests. The house is well served by buses & ideal for commuting along the A27/A23/M23 with free parking.
The House has full gas central heating and we like a warm home. There is a modern washing machine.
THE ROOM
The room available is the first-floor rear double bedroom, making it an ideal size for a comfortable bed-sitting room, which overlooks the back garden. There is a comfortable 3' single bed. If you want to bring your own double bed the one in the room would need to be stored in your room (under/behind) your own bed.
THE ROOM CONTAINS:
three-foot Single bed with quality mattress & bedding (if required). Two mirror-fronted Wardrobes with hanging rail, shelves & 7 drawers. There are two comfortable chairs, an open book/display unit, a computer desk and chair, TV stand with small TV, and remote control, plus your own Virgin 360 Digibox, with remote control, so you can record your own programmes, Movies etc and watch them when you'd like to. The Virgin XL package gives you all the HD Sky Movie Channels. Also included Netflix & Amazon Prime TV. We have a number of Sky and other Sports Channels including the premium Sky HD F1 HD channel.
KITCHEN
There is a shared, fully equipped Kitchen, with your own exclusive use Tower air frier, plus shared induction hob, oven/grill, microwave, pizza oven, kettle, & sink/drainer.
We can provide all you need in the way of cutlery, crockery, kitchen utensils, pots, & pans. You have your own cupboards, tea towels & food prep-area. It's a gallery kitchen so we work at one end & your space is at the other. You have your own shelves & door space in the fridge, & a drawer in the freezer.
WASHING MACHINE
The rent includes normal usage of washing liquid/power, fabric softener etc.
DOWNSTAIRS LOO
Off the kitchen is a 'lean-to' which leads to the downstairs loo with hand basin & door leading to the back garden onto the decking.
FIRST FLOOR BATHROOM
Upstairs there is the bathroom with shower over the bath, with oodles of storage space for your toiletries in the shower & large wall cupboard.
THE BACK GARDEN
The west-facing garden is still very damp, but in a few months it will look lovely one the weather warms up. The decking gets the sun in the afternoon & evening, before the sun hides behind the trees. There is a raised fish-pond with a waterfall on the decking and a lawn with a clothes rotary dryer. In the lean-to there is a close airer/drier for when its raining, with a dehumidifier with a special clothing setting.
GREEN FINGERS? GROW-YOUR-OWN
If you are grow-your-own, we have a greenhouse to start seedlings off & behind that is an area, we don't use so if you are prepared to make a 'raised bed' you would be free to have this as your own personal growing space. We use the greenhouse for our own seedlings & for our own plum tomatoes, sweet mini-plum tomatoes, & cucumbers and you would be welcome to grow-on your own seedlings ready for planting outside.
LOCKABLE GARAGE FOR BIKE/MOTORCYCLE STORAGE
We do have a small lockable garage, not suitable for a car. We use it for general storage, but there is room for your own bicycle and/or motorcycle.
PARKING, DRIVING & COMMUTING
No Permits are needed to park. There is no off-road parking because we share a drive, but there is parking within a few metres of the house. We are a couple of minutes drive from the A27 via the Shoreham junction which connects to the A23/M23 making it an ideal spot for commuting West, East or North.

ABOUT US
I (Fee) write non-fiction books (two so far) and am working towards writing my memoirs. I do the books for our very small Community Interest Company, and I design the stock etc.. for the company. My husband and I run this CIC together and periodically go to London for work. We are older, but that doesn't mean we're old-fashioned apart from believing in manners and politeness.
SHARED LIVING ROOM? NO
While we do enjoy company, we also like our own time.
PORTSLADE SPORTS CENTRE
Just a mile away Portslade Sports Centre has a Gym & I'm a member. I use the Gym equipment twice a week, & attend classes in Pilates, Kettlebells, & Yoga.
My husband Kevin and I are pretty easy going although we are looking for someone who is clean and tidy ... at least in the shared areas which we think is reasonable.
We can get on with most people, except transphobes or Zionists.
Sorry, we cannot accommodate mums or dads, with children who would sleep over etc.
OK That's about it. If you think you would fit in, then Kevin and I look forward to hearing from you.
Telephone Fee - number included in ad details. Call anytime between 9:00am and 9:00pm.
If I do not answer, I'm on 'Do not disturb' which means I'm working, or at the gym working out, so please leave a message, with your telephone number or send a text, so I can get back to you.
