Furnished double bedroom available. Large Kitchen/diner, open plan property with garden.
This is a conversion of a 200 year old stone property from pub and flat to a large house. Renovations are ongoing but not disruptive in any way. (just some flooring, a few rooms to plaster) The tax band is C but will go up once works are complete.
There is off street parking available in the drive to the side of the property and along the side street.
I have 2 cats but they dont go in bedrooms. All bedrooms and bathrooms have locks on doors. There is a large garden, I have 4 chickens that free range in it.
I have three bee hives also in the garden.
There are seating areas away from the bees and the chicken have a large run they can go into and close off if required.
The house is 20 minutes walk from the city center and buses into town stop 150 years away.
The neighbours are great and the area is quiet. It is on a main road but you just get used to the traffic noise.
Me and my 23 year old son live here. I have an 18 year old daughter also who will be living at Uni in Edinburgh so might some back to stay some weekends.
My son is a professional musician and whilst he spends a lot of his time out at his girlfriends or gigging, he can sometimes be found rehearsing in the house in his dedicated room which is very quiet and sometimes with friends over. Never until late in the evening or too early though. He's very respectful.
There are two lodgers already here who we get on great with. It's a happy house and everyone is respectful of each others space and privacy whilst also being social and friendly. The third lodger is moving out at the start of May so please don't get in touch asking if it is available before then.
The ad says that the property has 6 bedrooms. It has 14 rooms on total including bedrooms, bathrooms, living rooms and office etc.
Please only contact me if you have completed your profile including a photo, occupation, shift patterns, your interests, if you're a contractor, where you're from, how much time you'll spend at the property etc. It saves a lot of my time asking these questions.
I will take time choosing the right person to share our home with so the more information you can give me about yourself the better.
Professionals using the house for accommodation whilst away from home are preffered.
Any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
Thanks,
Lisa.
