Large bright double room in lovely Battersea flat

I have a super room looking for a super flatmate to share a 2-bed flat in Battersea.

The room is a double, with a double bed, it is bright and spacious, lots of storage in the built-in wardrobes. Room for a desk, if you have one.

The flat is in excellent condition, refurbished approx 14 months ago. Wooden floors throughout, very simple decor and neat. It is large and bright and in excellent condition. There is a kitchen/living room, with a balcony for plants/herbs, cooker, washing machine/dryer and dishwasher. A bathroom with separate WC.

It is in a well-maintained concrete tower block, located on the edge of an estate, so if you are looking for Victorian terraces, this one isn't for you. But if you are a fan of 50's concrete, with bright large rooms, and that optimism of mid-century futures (as I am) then it's great. I've lived in the block twice before, I really love it. It's only on the 1st floor though... so views are not that exciting. But Battersea Park is almost next door, the river is about 4 minutes away.

Transport links are good, there's no tube in Battersea, - but it's possible to walk to Sloane Square, or take a bus. It's maybe 15 minutes to Clapham Junction on the bus but also walkable and that gives you trains every 2-3 minutes to Vauxhall, Victoria, and Waterloo as well as the Overground. Battersea Square is nearby, and Kings Road is not far. I've lived in Battersea many years, and found it really well-connected without a tube station.

You'll share the flat with me, a lecturer in design, 40. I'm respectful, responsible, calm, artistic, funny and into architecture, latin and ballroom dancing (not in the flat) and green things like plants (in the flat/balcony), ecology, etc. Looking for somebody who is looking for a relaxed calm place, a home rather than a hotel. Would suit another professional, or a mature or PhD student.

Rent doesn't include any bills. Council tax is around £65 a month in Wandsworth (£32.50 pp.)

The flat is managed by an agent, which means that all new tenants on the contract have to go through reference checks, there is a tenancy fee and referencing fee (payable to the estate agent). So please only reply if you are happy with that, and have everything you need in order to be referenced. The fees are £165. Deposit is 6 weeks' rent.
