Big double room, all bills INCLUDED! :)
Unfortunately (but fortunately for you!) our amazing flatmate is moving back to Canada in December so her big double room is available in our lovely first floor 3-bed home in East Finchley. Girls preferred. All bills, council tax and broadband included in the rent. We also have loads of free parking available just outside our front door and a locked indoor shed on the ground floor. Please message over Spareroom, rather than call/text. Room available from 9th December (we can accommodate someone moving in a few days earlier if needed!).
We're two friendly girls in our 20s looking for someone just as considerate and laid-back to come live with us :) Layla works in Central London as a Genetics Scientist and Hannah is a Cheerleading Coach all over north London. We're quite tidy and like to keep the flat looking nice. We are also planning on getting a cleaner to come for a few hours every other week (we think this will cost around £20 per person per month).
Things we enjoy;
- We're a very sociable flat and often hanging out with dinner for TV/Netflix nights (currently binging on Stranger Things but we also have Peep Show or Friends repeats on the regular)
- Tea (everything about it)
- Board game nights (we have an expanding collection!)
- Going to the theatre
- Dinner parties (the next one will be "friendsmas" in December - you're invited!)
- Disney!! (Hannah has an impressive DVD collection)
- Exploring nearby restaurants and cafes when we can't be bothered to cook
- Taking care of our many pet plants (they all have names!)
- Cycling, running, generally being active (Saturday morning ParkRun in Hampstead Heath is a favourite)
The room is huge, light, airy and fully furnished with a big double bed, wardrobe (with full length double mirror), giant chest of drawers and a desk/chair.
The bike in the picture of the room is for sale too as the current tenant is moving back home to Canada and can't take it with her (£120 if you're interested),
Kitchen: Standard kitchen stuff really. We have lots of gadgets that you're welcome to use but you also get your own cupboards, drawers, etc. to bring your own stuff. We generally share cutlery/plates/pans but, again, you'll have space to store your own if you prefer! We have a nearly new Hotpoint fridge/freezer so everyone gets a nice, big shelf to themselves.
Bathroom: The landlord has just had the bathroom refurbished so everything is brand new! I should also probably state that we have a SEPARATE bathroom and toilet (because that's a rarity in London it seems).
Living Room: Our favourite room in the house by far! We spend most of our time in here. We have an AppleTV with Netflix and Prime Video. Google Home. The balcony door opens from the living room and has table/chairs for the summer time.
* EAST FINCHLEY*
East Finchley is a really lovely area. It has a little village feel but you're only a 15 minute tube journey from King's Cross. I work in London Bridge and my commute takes me 45 minutes door-to-office. We have a great independent cinema nearby (Phoenix) and lots of shops and nice pubs around. The flat is in a very leafy area between East Finchley and Finchley Central. The 263 bus goes to our door from East Finch station but it's only a 10/15 minutes stroll anyway (and the walk is actually really pleasant!). Our building (see picture) is in an estate called The Grange but it is very close to the main road (High Road).
