Large bright double in sociable house
Sadly our lovely flatmate is moving out, so we are looking for someone amazing to replace her. You will be sharing with me (an English guy working for an antiques auctioneer), and a gay couple - Marco (an Italian working in a boutique shoe shop) and Simone (another Italian working in retail). Marco and I have known each other over 6 years and have lived in the house for 3.
We have always been a mixed and laid back house so we are looking for a sociable guy or girl - someone laid back, clean, and easy going who will fit in with us.
We have had some great parties in the past, but this is not really a party house, but there is the occasional BBQ and people over for drinks and dinner. Marco and Simone both smoke, but outside only, so smokers are welcome but please not in the house.
Move-in date is ideally 25 March, but can be 25 April or any time in between. If you have a specific moving date please message as we have a guest room so might be able to come to some arrangement.
We are a 10 minute walk from Northfields tube station, which is on the Piccadilly line with fast and regular tube links to central London and to Heathrow. We are 15 minutes walk from West Ealing station, with trains to Heathrow and Paddington every 15 minutes.
There are a huge variety of shops including large Sainsbury’s and Waitrose, Lidl, Wilko, Savers, etc, plus many smaller shops, cafes and restaurants.
ABOUT THE ROOM
The room is the largest bedroom on the first floor at the front of the house - so the best and brightest room. It has a large double-glazed bay window, masses of storage space with fitted wardrobes, plush new carpet, and comes unfurnished but we have a spare double divan bed if you need it.
ABOUT THE HOUSE
The house is semi-detached with side access to the garden, and we have a covered gazebo-type thing if you want to store a bike - this has a large glass table underneath for summer. If you have a car there is on-street parking outside but you will need to buy a permit. It was all newly refurbished three years ago, and came unfurnished so all the furniture belongs to us.
There are four double bedrooms in total, but as we live with a couple the smallest one can be used for guests. There is a separate living room with TV. There is one bathroom upstairs and a second off the living room, so two showers in total. We have a dishwasher, washing machine, etc. in the kitchen.
THE BORING STUFF
As the room is the biggest and costs £600 per month. Bills are not included, but come to about £85 per month - this includes council tax, gas, electric, water and internet.
The security deposit is £813.47 protected by the tenancy deposit scheme. There is an additional £60 reference check fee payable to the agency.
We have a really good relationship with the landlord and the current contract lasts until 24th September 2021.
I am lead tenant so I pay all the rent directly to the agency on the 25th of each month, and I manage all the bills. Rent and bill money is paid directly to me by the 24th of each month.
