1 minute from the Clock Tower. All bills included.
Rent includes all bills and council tax, one month's rent is required as deposit.
The room is enormous. It has a very comfortable double bed, a deep chest of drawers, a large wardrobe, a sofa, and free Virgin (full sports and movies) cable TV. You will also have your own kitchenette in the room with fridge, kettle, toaster and microwave, 2 plate hob, small basin, as well as use if a fully equipped shared kitchen just across the hall.
The house is located only a minute's walk from the Clock Tower, which means it is a minute or two from the bus stop, the vintner, a late-night Tesco, Waitrose and an independent grocer, the fishmonger, butcher, baker, patisserie, newsagent, and quite a few good pubs and restaurants. There's also a friendly Virgin Active health club with an indoor swimming pool just around the corner, and a Fitness First for women just up the hill. If you are fond of dressing up you will definitely love the selection of boutiques and top-value charity shops on the Broadway. It is unusual for any London neighbourhood to have more hair and beauty salons than off-licenses and newsagents, but not in Crouch End.
A large number of public green spaces makes Crouch End the ideal neighbourhood if you love outdoor pursuits. To the immediate west, it is bounded by Highgate Woods, and the adjacent Queen's Wood, as well as a large expanse of playing fields (70 acres of leafy peace and quiet). To the North is Alexandra Park nature reserve which connects to Finsbury Park in the south by the 4. 5 mile Parkland Walk.
Those who aren't in the know are often put off Crouch End because there is no tube station within walking distance from the town centre, which is their loss, because you can:
a)walk 2 min from the front door to the bus stop and hop on the W7 for a 15 min ride to Finsbury Park (Victoria Line, Piccadilly Line, First Capital Connect), from where you can travel to Oxford Circus, Holborn or Moorgate in just 15 minutes during morning rush hour.
b)Take either the 41 or W5 for a 20 min ride to Archway tube station (Northern Line), from where it's a 22 min ride to Bank or Waterloo during morning rush hour.
If you had a late night out you can get home by hopping on either the N41 (stopping at Trafalgar Square, Tottenham Court Road, Angel, Highbury and Islington, Holloway Road and Archway), or the N91 (stopping at Trafalgar Square, Aldwych, Holborn, Russell Square, Euston, Kings Cross St. Pancras and Caledonian Road).
The flat has four other bedrooms, two bathrooms with showers, and a modestly sized kitchen – it’s not a galley kitchen though. Unfortunately there is no lounge, but with the selection of pubs and restaurants in the area there are plenty of places where you can entertain mates.
Everyone gets along really well and helps out with the household chores. It is not a mid-week party house or noisy student hovel at all. Everybody works long hours and respect each others' privacy.
If you would like to book a viewing you’re welcome to email me, or call me.
Hope to hear from you soon.
