This is a great attic space with far reaching views over rooftops and surrounding open countryside. It comprises of a spacious and airy private living room with lounge and desk working area and plenty of storage. At one end there is a private sole use ensuite bathroom with bath (with shower over it) that was fully refurbished this year). At the other end shielded by a partition and obscured glass panel there is a large double bedroom with chest of drawers and more storage cupboards. All the rooms are centrally heated and the hot water is on demand. On the floor below through your own entrance hallway is a separate kitchen with table for dining. The kitchen is very occasionally shared during the day when we are about - which is not very often. This is essentially a very private space with its own entrance - but due to the inclusive bills it’s a lot cheaper than renting independently.
The rent includes: Oil, water, heating, council tax, Internet, TV licence, buildings insurance, building management fees & ground rent, annual boiler service and all maintenance). No landline, good mobile signal (Vodaphone, EE)
The Village has a pub and Primary School and is 2 miles from the nearest shop and Post Office (Uley). The nearest towns are Nailsworth (3 miles) Stroud (6 miles) Dursley (6 miles) so a car owner or keen cyclist would be best suited. Around 20 steps from the ground to the attic so you will need to be able to climb stairs and you can’t fit in very large furniture.
This place would suite a professional, perhaps and Dr on rotation or visiting professor or company employee who needs a home away from home as well as anyone locally that needs a safe nice place to live where you know your housing costs are stable and pre-determined. Although the contract between us would be based on weekly rental we are looking for someone who wants longer term use (minimum 6 months).
