Large double room, close to Metro and canal

The bedroom

My 2-bed terrace is on a quiet road near to the canal and Brooklands Metro. The house is close to shops and supermakets (Sainsburys, Tesco, Aldi and M & S Simply Food all within 5-10 mins walk).

The house has a hallway, lounge/dining room, kitchen, bathroom and the bedrooms. The lounge/dining room and this bedroom have been recently decorated, including new carpets/flooring. In the bedroom, there's a double bed (pocket spring mattress, 2 divan drawers, headboard), good-sized chest of drawers, a hanging rail and a bedside cabinet. In terms of room size, it's more medium than large (I've not been able to change the title of this advert, apologies!).

There is central heating throughout and a multi-fuel stove in the lounge. French doors open out from the lounge/dining room onto the back yard. The bathroom has a separate large shower cubicle, bath, basin and toilet. The kitchen has a gas cooker (hob and oven), fridge/freezer, microwave and washing machine.

I'm looking for a reliable, considerate house mate to rent one of the double bedrooms. As I frequently work away from home in London often you'll have the house to yourself. You'll only meet Paul, my husband, when he comes up at weekends, which is generally no more than twice per month. He will be at the house for any viewings so you will get to meet him :-)

The rent is £425 per month and this includes some bills (council tax, water, TV licence). Gas, electricity and fuel for the stove are split based on use. There is on-street, residents parking and it costs £38.60 for an annual parking permit (although the parking scheme doesn't apply to the whole street so it is possible to park without a permit). Currently the house doesn't have broadband but if this was essential, I'm happy to sort this out and share the cost.

The length of the let is negotiable but I would prefer a house mate who can commit to a minimum of 6 months.

The room is available now and I can do house viewings on Saturday 24th November, Saturday 1st December or Sunday 2nd December.
