Double room in Salford Quays for start of August

Double room with available in Clippers Quay from 1st of August. There's flexibility on the move-in date going up to mid-August but easier in the month would be preferable from our perspective.

Room comes with double bed, double wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside table. Everything else will be cleared out so you can get settled in and really make the place your own. It’s white walls, ceiling and a cream carpet, so a real blank slate. Bathroom is shared with one other flatmate and features bath with shower, loo, sink and storage mirrors.

The room overlooks the Quayside, and the flat's balcony is a lovely place to spend a sunny day, sit for a working from home lunch, dry your washing, grow a few plants, or any other balcony activities your heart desires.

Myself and the other flatmate have already been here for over three years, so the place is fully furnished - large modern kitchen/living room area with a large TV kitted out with Sky, Netflix, Amazon, a PS4 and Nintendo Switch. You wouldn’t need to bring anything other than the contents of your own room.

The building has its own gym, communal space with a pool table, cinema room (see pictures) and full concierge service. There’s a PureGym a few minutes walk away, a Co-Op right next door, as well as a coffee shop, barbers and bar. Barely five minutes walk away you’ll find a M&S, Iceland, Aldi, Home Bargains all in the same little retail park, as well as a Big Tescos five minutes further away from that.

Bills are around an extra £125 month (though this is honestly likely to go up later this year as energy costs continue to increase) and parking is available in the building for an extra £100/month if you have a car.

Outside of the current working from home restrictions, myself and the other flatmate work in MediaCity, fairly standard hours most of the time. Both pretty chilled out, like our cooking, music, sport on TV, the odd pub trip... hoping for somebody similar who'll keep the the place looking nice. I work for the BBC and he’s an IT Project Manager - we’ve both been working from home so we’re obviously keen to find somebody else who can fit into the happy, relaxed atmosphere we’ve been able to maintain throughout the working from home experience.

It's a fairly new building and compared to the expensive high rises in the area without things like the gym, concierge and communal spaces, really good value given the amenities available. It’s also more or less directly half way between MediaCity and Manchester City centre, and only a few tram stops away from each, so the whole of this part of Greater Manchester is really at your doorstep.
