I am the live in landlady, this is my home. The house is quirky - some say a bit 'boho' or 'shabby chic.' That means- it is NOT bland neutral colours, or full of IKEA furniture. It has lots of original features, vintage furniture, original fireplaces and is characterful.

This is a relaxed and easy-going house and it would suit mature, post-graduate students or professionals. I am a professional with varied working hours, looking for lodgers who are independent, self sufficient, mature in attitude, and respectful.

I am looking for a lodger, not housemates. This means I am expecting someone who will be moving on from here, not someone who is wanting to stay here long term, or wants to socialise a lot here.

Maximum stay 6 months

Monday- Friday , or week day regular lets, are welcome, Please ask me.

There is no storage space for any large amounts of your own kitchenware or general stuff or furniture. You can use anything in the kitchen, there’s a gas cooker and oven, and a microwave, toaster, juicer it is well equipped with kitchen ware, crockery, cutlery etc. You will have your own shelf in the fridge and the cupboard for food.

I provide loo roll and cleaning materials, washing up liquid etc. I have a cleaner for the general areas, I just ask that you keep your own room clean, and clear up after yourself in the kitchen and bathroom.

I can provide good quality and v. clean duvet, cover, pillows and pillowcases, sheets, and towels if required.

I am mainly vegetarian, BUT I am happy for you to eat pre-cooked meats or ready meals with meat, that can be heated in the microwave or oven. But sorry, frying or grilling fresh meat isn’t possible .

There is some smoking allowed socially and occasionally.. ONLY downstairs in the kitchen, and with the big patio doors to the garden open. if you absolutely can’t stand smoking or the smell of smoke then this is not the house for you.

Location.
A quiet safe street just 3 minutes walk to the tram/ metro at Stretford; then it's just 15 minutes to Manchester City Centre, Salford Quays/Media City, or 15 minutes south to Altrincham. Bus routes into the town or University. There is free on street parking, no permits required.

For Trafford Park or the Trafford Centre, Media City or Salford Quays/Lowry – it’s 10 minutes in a car, 30-minute walk or 15-minute cycle. 2 minutes to J 9/M60 for links to the Motorways. Regular buses into the city and west to Stockport.

This is a quiet safe area with a strong sense of community. Nearby – 5 minutes walk- there is Stretford Mall with a big Aldi. Local shops and take-aways 1 min walk; the Stretford Sip Club bar, pop-up Bistro 1116, Ethiopian Cafe and Stretford Public Hall - which offers various arts and well-being activities, are 5 minutes walk. There’s a lovely park just 2 minutes walk away which does Boot Camp exercise sessions and has a fit trail, and Stretford Leisure Centre is 15 minutes walk.

It is only 10 mins by bike to Chorlton and all the bars and restaurants there.

I have a spare bike I am happy for you to borrow to get around.

I ask for 2 weeks rent in advance as deposit.
