Hi, are there any students looking for temporary accommodation for the summer?

My friend is currently advertising his room for someone to take over his tenancy. He has a 51 week tenancy/contract from September 2022 to September 2023, however, he is planning to relocate to another accommodation and house-share with me and others from June onwards. He is keen to find a tenant to take over his existing or remaining 51 week tenancy, to cover the summer period (from June) until September. With this in mind, the new replacement tenant would pay the last instalment of my friend's rent, to cover the summer period.

My friend's room is a Classic Room (largest room type), and it will be available from beginning of June 2023 to 7th September 2023. It will cost £320 a month (£80 per week) and is inclusive of all bills, TV license and contents insurance (with no council tax payment required), although the accommodation has other offers and discounts that they can provide.

In terms of other facilities in the flat, the flat consists of a kitchen and dining area; 1 shared shower room
and 2 toilets with washbasins; 7 single
bedrooms (different sizes - including bed, desk and chair, lamp, bookshelves, wardrobe, sink/washbasin, storage space under bed). In addition to these facilities, residents are able to access a large common room within the halls (comprising study area, table and chairs, sofas, Smart TV with TV channels and Netflix and Sony packages, snooker/pool table, table football, board games; books, music/radio player), and also a courtyard/garden with chairs/benches and BBQ/Grill.

There is also free parking area on-site, and also laundry room with washing machines and dryers.

Furthermore, in terms of nearby amenities, the accommodation is in walking distance to a bus stop on the same road (served by the Uni-Link buses - U2C and U2B), and also a large Co-op supermarket and food takeaway on same road.

The flat currently is a mixed-gender flat with male and female students (comprising postgraduates, including my friend), who are all friendly and sociable, and has single rooms (of different sizes) and has a shared kitchen, and 2 shared toilets and shower facilities .

In terms of location, the room is located within a private student accommodation called Green Wood Court, within the SO16 3QB postcode (Bassett Green Road) area of Southampton. Therefore, it is ideally suited to those studying at the University of Southampton Highfield Campus (around 10 minute walk, but 5 minutes by bus).
