Modern en-suite room in Hampton Square

Room

The room is a bronze en-suite, located 15–20 minutes on foot from the University of Southampton Highfield Campus. It features a modern private bathroom with a toilet, shower, mirror, and sink. There is a towel hanger and a flexible thin rope that can be used to dry wet clothes.

The room has good thermal and noise insulation. Your roommates won’t hear you unless you shout, and vice versa. In winter, it stays warm thanks to thick walls, and in summer, it doesn’t get too hot. There is an electric heater with adjustable temperature settings that works well.

There are four spacious bookshelves and three drawers for storing anything from books to cosmetics and gadgets. A large closet is located just after the bathroom door, with a full-height mirror attached to the door. Near the entrance, there are six hangers for outdoor clothing.

Above the bed, there’s a shelf with a socket where you can place your phone and other bedtime essentials. Next to the shelf is a lamp for nighttime use and a switch that can turn off all the lights in the room — an amazing feature! Another lamp is located on the desk. The wall above the desk is made of a soft material that allows you to pin up photos or notes.

If you have a lot of belongings, there is extra storage space under the bed, which is suitable for large suitcases. If you encounter any issues with the accommodation, the reception is always available to help and resolve problems quickly.

The kitchen is shared with only five other people and includes two sinks, one large and one small fridge (both with freezers), cupboards, a TV, and a large sofa — perfect for enjoying tea or playing games with friends. The kitchen table is designed to comfortably seat all six flatmates.

There is also a common area in another block that includes a study space, pool table, cinema room, TV area, laundry facilities, and a gym.

A Tesco Express is just 10 minutes away, while McDonald's and a post office are only five minutes away. Local shops and cafes are located just outside the building
