We’re a couple in our 50’s looking for a new professional lodger to stay with us 4 nights during the week returning home at the weekends. You can keep yourself to yourself if you wish spending your free time relaxing in the garden or chilling in your room.

It’s a small single room up on the 2nd floor in a spacious & elegant six bedroom house built 1880.

The house may be a period home but it’s renovated to a high standard. Lots of hot water, brand new combi heating system so you can enjoy lovely hot baths in the roll top bath pictured or a large walk in shower. It’s built over 4 levels with a cellar in the basement.

You’ve got a gorgeous clean & comfy bed, excellent mattress and linen provided & changed every two weeks.

Bedside chest of drawers & lamp

Plasma TV of your own with 90 channels.

Extra storage under bed and outside in a cupboard on the landing.

The house has super fast FIBRE broadband so no time spent watching the circle buffering!

All bills are included.

The only supplement is £4 for an 11kg load of washing which includes detergent and softener. It’s an industrial washing machine and uses more water, electricity and powder than domestic machines. I’m afraid we do not have a tumble dryer but we do have a splendid rotary clothes line outside!

There are brand new appliances in the kitchen with breakfast bar table and stools, two sinks. Bosch oven, combi oven and microwave plus a dishwasher.

A shelf to call your own in the fridge and a storage cupboard for your food essentials.


A garden patio area and clothes line.

Storage for a pushbike at the back or free street car parking at the front.

Town centre is 0.7 miles away. Sainsbury’s and Aldi are only 5-7 minutes walk.

There’s also a Tesco Express open 0600-2300hrs a few minutes walk the other direction towards Whitecross.

Bus routes are within a few minutes on Whitecross Road or the train station is towards Aylestone Hill near the hospital.

All of our children have now left home to pursue their careers.

I am working part time at the brand new Wren Kitchens showroom and either studying property investment, doing a little bit of hairdressing or I’m in the garden. We love DIY, cooking, films & constantly have a project on the go.
