This is a thoughtful property that you can call home - completely renovated in recent years.
The people that live at our houses tend to always tell us they want house mates they can hang out with, but also value the privacy of their own room. We add several touches to the house such as sound reducing panels, en-suite bathrooms, high-speed wifi and smart TVs in bedrooms for a private haven.
There are six rooms in the house all of which are large doubles with en-suite bathrooms. The other 5 housemates are professionals mid/late 20s to mid 30s. This is a lovely bright en-suite room.
The house is as easy as hotel living. Bills are included so its just one amount you pay. Rooms are fully furnished and all facilities including washing machines, dryer and ironing boards are supplied.
Design (function and style) is really important to us and something we look to improve all the time. We hope that you will find the house light and airy but also with cool subtle finishes that bring it to life.
The local area of Cockfosters in leafy north London is a mix of independent retail, cafes and bars and has managed to keep chain offerings to a minimum although you will still find a Costa and Prezzo. We recommend Miracles, Middeys or The Petit Auberge for brunch or lunch, the Cock Inn for a drink, Trent Park for a long stroll or one of the many independent restaurants for a top evening meal.
There are several local areas to visit close by. In very nearby New Barnet you can enjoy a glass of wine or beer whilst watching a movie at Everyman or popping for a workout and swim at Pure Gym. East Barnet Village has local cafes and pubs. In High Barnet you will find everything from Pizza Express to more great pubs and cafes. Pop to Whetstone for more restaurants, we recommend Cocorico, TooTooMoo Thai and Ems coffee shop.
On a more functional note there is a large Sainsburys close by (next to New Barnet station) and a Co-Op just up the road on Cockfosters High St.
Transport wise you will find Cockfosters on the Piccadilly Line a short walk away. The hidden secret is New Barnet over ground station which has fast trains to Kings Cross in approx. 15/20 mins and is also a quick route to destinations such as Finsbury Park, Highbury & Islington, Old Street and Moorgate. This train also heads outwards to Welwyn Garden City.
If you have a car there is a private driveway to share but also you will notice loads of free on street parking available as the location is just off the main through roads.
We genuinely care about our houses and the people in them. You will find more details such as heated towel rails in your en-suite, lots of individual kitchen cupboard space, a regular communal cleaner, two large fridge freezers and ultimately a great space to live with great people.
We ensure that all of our house mates are professionals who are looking for a harmonious place to call home. If that sounds like a good match please get in touch for more details or to book a viewing.
Single occupancy only.
