The other room is very spacious with queen-size bed, chest of drawers, built-in wardrobe, desk (if needed) plus space for an armchair. View of the common is gorgeous. £145 per week.

Shared areas of the house include a dining room, kitchen with microwave, dishwasher and near-new cooker, plus bathroom with bath/shower. The large garden has comfy seating and there's storage space for suitcases, etc, plus an extra fridge. Free on-street parking.

Located a 15-minute walk from Harpenden train station, 2 minutes to a bus stop for buses to St Albans, Luton and Watford, and close to Southdown shops. Also close to The Engineer and The Carpenter's Arms pubs, cycle trails, lovely walks, and the Harpenden Golf Course.

Rent includes all household supplies (TP, dishwasher tablets, etc), broadband, Netflix, utilities, council tax and fortnightly cleaning of the common areas.

I'm a creative professional who works long hours, mostly from home. I'm usually gardening at the weekends, or out exploring. There's also a little resident cat who'll want to befriend you!
