Quick note - the bedroom pictures were taken around afternoon and the rest at night time, hence why they look a bit dark. I'll be re-taking them tomorrow with daylight. Also, the lounge needs work. I'm hoping to buy some couch covers as I'm not keen on the couch colour 🤭 the lounge bulb is very yellow so probably changing this, and I'm planning to declutter my ornaments!

Hi, my flatmate bought her own place and I'm missing the company! I'm hoping to find someone to move in with me. Heads up for a wall of information 👇😂
About the flat:
- Address is 42 Aberfeldy Street
- Your half pcm: rent (£300 excluding bills), WiFi (£12.50), gas & electricity (£32.50), council tax (band A, best value)
- Tenament building (2nd floor, no lift). Double-glazing, street parking spaces, private terrace/garden area, electric oven & hob, washing machine, no dryer.
- Two double bedrooms: my room is street side, the available room looks out over the communal gardens. There is a spacious lounge with a storage cupboard, smallish kitchen, bathroom with a shower over the bath, and a hall with a large storage cupboard.
- At the bottom of the street is Alexandra Park. It's lovely to watch the swans 🤗
- The letting agency are great. I am the sole name on the tenancy agreement and the agency are happy for me to rent the 2nd bedroom. Rent will be paid to me, and I will cover the full rent payment to the agency. I can provide proof of this agreement. This would be a 'permitted occupancy'. I'm happy to discuss this further but don't want to go on too much here. I am able to provide references from past flatmates, including the last one who I shared with for 4 years.
- Surrounding area is nice and mostly quiet but the streets have a lot of litter.
- City centre access includes a bus stop at the bottom of the street, 10 min walk to Alexandra Parade station with trains to Queen Street (as cheap as 80p return tickets), or 45 min walk.
- There are great corner shops at the bottom of the street, open until 10pm. There is also a pharmacy. A 10 min walk to various cafes, a post office, nail salon, co-op and Iceland foods. 13 min walk to Duke Street which has a ton of shops. 20 min walk to the Forge retail park which also has a ton of shops and a big Asda.
Available room:
Double bed with top quality mattress, a bedside drawer unit, 4 tier drawer unit, large wardrobe, dresser and chair, mirror, wall hook to hang picture, bay window with large windowsill space. Overall this is a spacious and lovely room. However, there is a floorboard that creaks when stepped on and bins are collected on Sundays. Just ask if you want to know more 😊
About me:
- I have just finished my degree in Anatomy, and I am currently working as a dog walker until I decide which direction I want to go in (full-time work or masters). A couple of my regular dog customers might come for a weekend visit now and then!
- I am good at keeping communal areas tidy. I am fairly sociable in that I am always up for going out for food or to the cinema, for day trips or to try a new hobby. I would love to get into the gym or something like rock climbing, hiking, yoga, skateboarding, etc. In the flat though, I can quite like my alone time. I sleep a lot and after a busy day I like to hide away in my room a bit. I do like spending time in the lounge for evening meals and having a chat though so you will see me! 😂 I'm not a party person or big drinker but ofc happy for you to have friends round!
- Despite liking the lazy life I do enjoy pubs and occasionally clubs. One of my main interests is music. I can listen to pretty much any genre and I regularly go to concerts, would be nice to have a gig-buddy! I love science, sci-fi, and some gaming. I have a lot of plants and I love drawing.
- I'm a vegetarian and eat a lot of vegan substitutes. I'm not fussed what you eat, but if it's meat I'd just ask that you clean up your bits in the kitchen :)
- LGBTQ friendly household ofc.
Please message if you think this could feel like your home too x
