Sunny double room in Ibrox with dishwasher!

Cosy room with wooden floors, simple Ikea furniture including a comfortable double bed. Your wee desk sits in front of a window which catches the evening light rather nicely! The homey living room also has West-facing bay windows, wooden floors and a dining area. We share a modern galley kitchen with gas hobs, fan oven and a dishwasher. There is a small communal garden which could definitely use some TLC if you’re green-fingered. 2nd floor flat, no smoking, pets may be welcome.
Room is available from the 9th april and rent is £350 monthly. Gas, electric and internet bills are split and come to roughly £30 a month each. We are council tax band B and will figure out how to split this depending on whether you’re a student or professional.
Great location on a quiet Ibrox st. Cheap, friendly Southside living, with easy access to town using subway or bus- 20 mins, bike- 30 mins, foot- 45 mins and car- 10. The West End is also in commuter distance on the subway or by bike/foot across the Millenium or Bells’ Bridges. Local highlights include a new community garden around the corner, Galgael woodworking space and Glasgow Climbing Centre down the road. Bellahouston Park, Palace of Art and Bellahouston Sports Centre are nearby and it’s just a 10 minute walk to the Science Centre, Glasgow Tower and the Clyde. On a more practical note, there is a big Asda just over a mile away and a few minutes’ walk away we have a Coop, fruit and veg stores, corner shops and all the takeaways you could ever ask for. Free on-street parking is readily available.
I’m looking for someone chilled out, friendly and cooperative who would enjoy sharing chats, drinks and meals now and then as well as having our own space. I’d love to have someone who wanted to share a weekly veg box and some of the cooking and definitely someone who’s happy to lend each other a bit of milk, flour, sugar, etc. as needed. Preferably someone who thinks about the environment and our bills in terms of recycling and energy-use in the flat. In terms of keeping harmony in the flat, I’m quite keen to come up with some rules together and to set up a cleaning rota as well as being open to chatting about the little problems and bugbears that inevitably arise. Would like to keep the flat tidy but not necessarily spotless; a few dishes left on the side and that sort of thing are to be expected.
I have a mental health condition which leads to very low energy so sometimes I am a really unpleasant flatmate with mess everywhere and avoiding people. I wish this was different, but it's not so you'll really have to be ok with this and willing to communicate problems in writing sometimes and potentially to wait a while for an answer until I get together the confidence and energy to respond.
I switch between being active and out-doorsy and a completely lazy foodie. I’m absolutely useless at, but really enjoy, both music and pub quizzes. I attend events and exhibitions on most subjects, especially community and heritage type stuff, and I’m always keen to try new things and meet people. I currently box and do samba drumming, but hobbies change fairly often!
