CORONAVIRUS: The house sometimes has the landlord and landlady living at home and normally 2 other lodgers making a total of 5 sharing at times. During the current pandemic, however, the new lodger would only be sharing with 1 other lodger, (as we and the 2nd lodger are living elsewhere). The house is large, which should allow safe social distancing during viewings. It also has 2 separate bathrooms and 2 lounges which should help the new and existing housemate to feel safe during any self isolation period required after moving in. Please feel free to ask any questions about this in your initial contact.

We are looking for a friendly professional person (or mature/postgraduate student) to share our beautiful Victorian home.

We believe we are providing everything a lodger should need!

Your comfortable single bedroom is located on the 1st floor at the front of the house.
The bedroom is fully furnished with single bed, bedside cabinet, chest of drawers, stool, table, chair, wardrobe & mirror. 2 modern, shared bath/shower rooms available.

Our house is spread over 3 floors with 1 shower room (2nd floor), 1 bathroom with shower (1st floor) and one separate toilet (ground floor).

There are 2 large living rooms: both with comfy sofas/chairs and flat screen TV. The house has fibre broadband Internet throughout.

We have a fully fitted kitchen with big fridge/freezer, microwave, cooker, toaster, kettle & washing machine. There is also a large separate dining room.

There is storage space available in the cellar for push-bikes etc.

Shared street parking is available behind the property. Our private paved garden is surrounded by shrubs & small fruit trees and has a couple of benches for sitting outside listening to birdsong.

We are located in Guide Bridge, east Manchester, close to Portland Basin and with good access to local amenities in Ashton-under-Lyne / Denton and convenient rail / bus / tram and motorway links:
* 2 min walk from Guide Bridge railway station making central Manchester only 15 mins away.
* Frequent buses to Manchester, Ashton, Denton & Haughton Green outside the door.
* 15 min walk from Audenshaw tram stop on the Manchester - Ashton line.
* 2min drive, (subject to traffic), from M60 motorway.

Additionally, we are 1 minute walk from the Ashton canal, which gives walkers / runners / cyclists direct, off-road access west to Droylsden & Manchester, south to Hyde, Marple & Macclesfield and east to Portland Basin (Ashton), Stalybridge, Mossley, Uppermill and the Saddleworth Moors / Pennines.

Local attractions include:
- Everything Manchester has to offer.
- Portland Basin Museum (FREE Entry)
- Ashton's Indoor/Outdoor Market, and Farmer's Market (last Sunday of every month)
- Cinema, bowling and numerous restaurants at Ashton Moss leisure park & many restaurants in Ashton centre.
