Peaceful Double Room in Barbican Estate (3 months)

I am delighted to offer a double room in one of the most beautiful blocks in the Barbican Estate for a 3 month rental. Within the complex there is a garden/park that is only available to residents, a lake and terrace, the Barbican Arts Centre, a cinema, and multiple gyms. I live in one of the quietest buildings, as the flat looks over the garden and backs onto the Estate rather than onto a road. The development is positioned in the old heart of Roman London and is within walking distance of the financial district, Old St and St Paul's Cathedral.

The flat is 3 minutes from Barbican station, 7 minutes from Waitrose and has disabled access through the carpark. Farringdon St, Moorgate and Liverpool St station are all within a 15 minute radius. Despite being in zone 1 the area itself is relatively quiet on the weekend, though only a short distance from the dynamic nightlife and creative scene of Shoreditch.

The room itself enjoys natural light from the floor to ceiling windows that take up one wall. There is ample storage and wardrobe space.

Approximately 800sqft in size, the flat is cleanly but warmly furnished, and includes many of the original barbican features. There are four electric hobs, a toaster, kettle, fridge and freezer, and two sinks. The flat has a narrow but full length balcony that overlooks the garden and faces South West. The toilet is separate from the bathroom, which includes an extra long bath and a shower-head, although the hot water is on a timer.

The flat is equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine and a heated air drying cupboard. Garbage is collected daily except on weekends and the price includes all bills and the service charge. The wifi speeds are can be patchy in the bedrooms. Smokers are welcome, although I would ask that you only smoke on the balcony.

I am 29 and studying to be a paramedic, which may lead to occasional early mornings/late nights but also a very well stocked first aid kit. I like scuba diving and science fiction, queer theory and whisky. Currently I am away from the flat most nights and will likely to continue to only be there a few nights a week.
