This double bedroom in a two bed garden flat in Islington is available now. The previous tenant has already moved out, but I am relatively flexible with the start date of a new lease.

The bedroom comes with a large wardrobe, a double bed and a desk. Apart from shelves and cupboards in the living room, we also have a cellar for extra storage. It is a basement flat, but the entire place enjoys a lot of natural light throughout the day, and there is no damp issue.

The flat is in a listed Georgian Terrace house. We the neighbors in the building know each other and everyone is friendly. The interior is quite new actually. The bedrooms are recently renovated, the open plan kitchen and living room is brand new. The boiler is new and works well.

The flat has a private entrance through the front garden, where I grow some fruits and flowers. It would be a plus if you are interested in a bit of gardening as well. It is rare to have a large private green space to bring more quietness and clean air in such a central location. There is also a private patio in the back. Hence there is quite a lot of usable space, if you don't plan to lock yourself up in your room all the time.

Do spend some time to explore the neighborhood if you live here. It is residential, safe and beautiful. A stroll along the canal to Coal Drops Yard is pleasant all year round. Transport couldn't be easier as Angel, King's Cross, Caledonian Road and Barnsbury stations are all within walking distance. There is a Better gym and swimming pool right across the street. I go to the Third Space near Upper Street though, it's about 10-15 minutes slow walk.

I am the owner of the property and I will also be your flat-mate. I have been flat-sharing since I came to London 10 years ago. Even though I own the flat now, I am still happy to find a tenant. Partly it is because I struggle for ideas of what to do with the second bedroom; partly also because I generally keep a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with my previous tenants. We sometimes cook together and go for a walk after dinner, plus the occasional drinks. We respect each other's hours and give plenty of privacy to each other.

I am a Finance professional who enjoys travelling, cooking, having a beer and debating about current affairs. I'm generally active; I swim regularly and also play tennis. I'm looking for a responsible and respectful tenant. I expect you to clean up after yourself and to participate in maintaining the common area. We do weekly cleaning together. No couples please. Viewings can be done by video call.
