Lovely, sunny double room with en suite bathroom in recently refurbished victorian home 5 mins from the central line and walking distance to the City. Canary Wharf is 3 stops away via the Elizabeth Line.

The room has two large sash windows with shutters, a desk and excellent storage space.

You'd be sharing with a married professional couple (owner occupiers) with no kids. Ian is a designer and I work in the charitable sector . We have our own separate bedroom and bathroom on different floors to yours, so it should feel quite private for you. Kitchen and sitting/dining room would be shared. Nb we have a very zen and gentle dog (a whippet) who stays downstairs, doesn’t go on the furniture and (weirdly!) never barks.

The house has been beautifully refurbished and has a wonderful vibe in a vibrant and friendly street. A cleaner comes once a week. There is a small, sunny back yard, an excellent cafe ( @thecommone2) just round the corner, together with a great convenience store and a large park across the road. There are lots of great cafes and bars in the vicinity, with columbia road and broadway market each a 10 minute walk away. Victoria Park, Brick lane and Shoreditch are 15 mins away.

We're looking for an easy going, self-contained housemate (No couples please) of any age who will enjoy and look after the houses. Your “centre of gravity” would be out of London with the house simply serving as a base for you during the working week. No problems with you leaving clothes and a few possessions in the room over the weekend however.
